Lion in colour pencil

Currently on my drawing board is this lion in colour pencil. I usually forget to take progress shots along the way but have remembered this time so will be able to show his progression. The more pieces I do in colour pencil, the more I love it. There are still many challenges with it but that's the interesting part of art, to meet the challenges, whether you are successful or not, it is still building knowledge of the medium and skills for future projects. I decided to crop the lion to focus on his handsome face which bears a few battle scars. Hope to finish it soon.

I am using Polychromos on Arches hot pressed watercolour paper.
