BOTSWANA

My absence from blogging has been due to a 2 week safari to beautiful Botswana. How blessed am I to have had the opportunity to visit this wonderful place and stay in such comfortable and organised camps run by the Wilderness outfits! All were land-based camps in the Okavango Delta area which led to fantastic sightings of elephant herds in the water along with special encounters with African Wild Dogs and Black Rhino, now both very endangered. Botswana is forging ahead with a strong economy, happy people and a strong effort in maintaining conservation programs, so great to see! I was in heaven with all the animals and now have hundreds of reference photos and memories to inspire me with some new work, so stay tuned!
