SNOW LEOPARD

I really love the big cats and enjoy every minute of either painting or drawing any of the mighty species. I have some wonderful reference photos of a snow leopard that I took at a photo shoot and chose to depict this beautiful cat in a drawing. I used Grafwood pencils on Canson Bristol plate paper, this combination is very slow going but I can get an amazing texture of fur with depth and fluffiness. It has taken a lot of practice and patience but worthwhile when the end result is chosen for an international exhibition. 'The Precipice' has been selected for the virtual exhibition in the Artists for Conservation's 7th Annual Juried Art Exhibit and also as a physical entry to the inaugural exhibition of the Pencil Art Society to be held in Quebec from Aug 22-Sept 21... yay!
